The NRL Group are celebrating achieving the prestigious Great Place To Work Certification following overwhelmingly positive feedback from their own workforce.
It’s the second time the organisation has surveyed colleagues through the anonymous feedback system, with 95% in agreement the company is a great place to work. The Group Executive team were keen to canvass opinion from colleagues after a period of significant growth has seen new service lines developed, overseas expansion and more job roles created to meet demand. A family-owned business with over 40 years of expertise in recruitment, engineering and contracting services, the ethos of the company has always been to grow bigger whilst retaining an SME feel. A business where colleagues are familiar with each other, share in its interest to progress new solutions, whilst ensuring there are no unnecessary barriers to restrict innovation.
The Great Place To Work® survey provided a trusted platform to allow colleagues to honestly and openly share feedback, backed by data-driven analysis of colleague satisfaction and business culture.
Survey feedback revealed a working environment where 99% of colleagues felt welcomed when they joined the business and 97% feel the work they do helps to achieve the company’s mission. Other strong themes included a people-first approach to how the business is run, approachable and visible leadership and a deep-rooted trust in colleagues.
Discussing the certification, NRL Group CEO David Redmayne commented:
“We’re extremely proud and humbled to read through first-hand feedback from colleagues about their experience working in the NRL Group. What stands out is the respect colleagues have for one another, and the ways they support each other, celebrating success and progress.
As a business we’ve undertaken an ambitious growth strategy in recent years, but not without taking care to ensure we’re not losing sight of our company culture and values. It’s rewarding to hear from colleagues that this hasn’t changed. Despite 27 new colleagues joining the business since our 2024 survey and significant change, feedback tells us we’ve still retained the family feel the NRL Group was founded on, and key measures such as people feeling heard and valued are evident across our teams.
Our second Great Place To Work Certification is a shared accolade across all colleagues, and recognition of the important role each person in the business plays, from welcoming new starters to delivering our services.”
Sarah Lewis-Kulin, the Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place To Work emphasises that certification is the only official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture.
