UK’s Best Workplaces™

We’re proud to have received a number of accolades that directly reflect how our colleagues feel about working in the NRL Group.

We’re a Great Place To Work®

In 2024 we worked with the team at Great Place To Work® to anonymously survey UK-based colleagues across our business. It was important to us that this feedback was captured through an independent party, in a way that allowed our colleagues to speak freely. Questions were asked across a range of areas, including company culture, training and support, work-life balance and their confidence in our management and business strategy.

When asked whether they believed the NRL Group was a great place to work, a resounding 97% agreed, earning us the official Great Place To Work® Certification™.

0%

0%

Proud to be a multi award-winning UK Best Workplace™

Each year the UK’s Best Workplaces™ lists celebrate those companies who have been recognised through the Great Place To Work® initiative, as leaders in workplace culture and colleague engagement.

We’re pleased to have been awarded three of these prestigious accolades thanks to the fantastic feedback our colleagues shared about their experiences working in the NRL Group.

1

UK’s Best Workplaces™ List 2025 for medium-sized organisations

When Great Place To Work® meticulously analyse the findings from surveys colleagues have submitted across a range of businesses, including the NRL Group, those that reached the highest of benchmarks are highlighted in their annual list for the UK’s Best Workplaces™. Assessing organisations across small, medium, large, and super large categories, depending on the size of the business, we were excited to secure position 28 out of 100 in the medium-sized organisations category.

It’s a privilege to join such recognisable names on this list, including companies who are developing innovative and proactive solutions for clients. We’re pleased to have been recognised amongst a small number of recruitment businesses in the 2025 list, as our colleagues work together to support our clients and candidates while progressing their own careers.

2

UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ 2025

We were delighted to see the NRL Group recognised in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Development™ 2025 List.

Since we established our business in 1983, we’ve continued to put our people at the centre of our focus, keen to support them both inside and outside of the workplace, ensuring that when we grow, they can progress.

More than 40 years later more than 150 people now work in the NRL Group, and as we have expanded our business operations and welcomed new services and clients, we’ve prioritised providing opportunities for our colleagues to develop their careers. From training courses and master’s degrees to mentor schemes and job promotions, it’s a privilege to be part of their learning journey.

3

UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Wellbeing 2025

Here at the NRL Group it’s important to our leadership team and Group executive board that people feel we are available to support them both within the workplace and with their home life. Being recognised as a Best Workplace for Wellbeing™ is a direct reflection of the time we dedicate to this area of our business culture. From funding free-to-access financial wellbeing coaches to the time colleagues volunteer to work as Mental Health First Aiders, we’re proud of the wellbeing support we provide colleagues.

4

UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Women 2025

We’re pleased to support women in the workplace to progress in their roles and become our future leaders. We’re proud to see female representation across all levels of our business, including strategic roles on our senior management and leadership teams. It was a proud moment to be recognised as one of the UK’s best employers for women, which reinforces our continued commitment.

5

UK’s Best Workplaces™ for Consulting & Professional Services 2024

Offering a range of recruitment, contracting and consultancy services across the NRL Group, the findings of our anonymous survey saw us secure a position as a UK Best Workplace™ on the Consulting & Professional Services 2024 list.

What our colleagues say

Dannielle Riley

I have personally never worked for a company where everyone is so warm, friendly, and welcoming and there is a real family feel to the team. The opportunities I have had since I started nearly four years ago from promotions to site visits and charity work, have been so rewarding and wouldn’t be possible without such a supportive line of management as well as colleagues.

Rachel Fenwick

Having joined NRL in 2001, it’s fair to say my role and responsibilities have changed significantly during this time. Progressing through the branch, I’ve had fantastic opportunities to learn thanks to an extremely supportive team, whilst also undertaking formal training such as my Chartered Management Institute course I completed in recent years. What makes NRL stand out for me as an employer is the amount of opportunity they give colleagues, from taking on bigger client accounts, to empowering us to develop the social value side of our business and encouragement to mentor younger colleagues to share our skills whilst gaining managerial experience.
